OUR FACTORY
The Melbourne Whittley factory employs over eighty skilled staff. The factory crafts every aspect of construction, from the seats to the hull, which ensures quality throughout the build.

ORDERING
Each new Whittley is custom made to meet the end users boating needs, style and specifications.

GELCOAT SPRAYING
The gelcoat process is where a new boat package first starts to take shape, it is applied to the boat mould.

FIBREGLASS LAMINATION
In this process fibreglass is sprayed using the lamination gun on top of the gelcoat.

BOAT JOINING
After lamination, the floor liner will be put in and the hull and deck will be joined.

ASSEMBLY
This stage includes fitting the internal mouldings, hard tops, fuel tanks, water tanks, plumbing and windows.

WOODSHOP & CNC CUTTING DEPARTMENT
Using our in-house CNC cutting machine also means we can cut all our own materials from rubber flooring through to the plastic seat backs.

MOTOR FITOUT
This is where a stern drive or outboard will be fitted to the boat.

CUSTOM TRAILER
For over forty years, we have worked with Mackay Trailers to design a drive on drive off solution best suited to each individual Whittley hull and model. The trailer at this stage is put under the boat and adjusted.

UPHOLSTERY & CANOPY
One of the things customers often notice in a Whittley is the quality of the canopy and the upholstery, this is because these are made in-house by the Whittley Factory.

PREDELIVERY
Items like the engines fluid levels and basic controls are checked whilst the engine is run at the pre-delivery area of the factory.

WATER TEST
The majority of Whittley Boats are water tested prior to shipment from the factory.

FINAL QUALITY INSPECTION
Under bright lights the boat final inspection is completed and the order is checked to ensure all selected options are supplied and installed to the highest of standards.

SHRINK WRAP
All our boats that are shipped to a Whittley Dealership are shrink wrapped prior to being loaded onto a truck for transport.

FREIGHT TO WHITTLEY DEALERSHIP
Once wrapped boats are loaded onto a truck and sent to the appropriate Whittley dealership ready for hand-over.

ON WATER DEALERSHIP HAND OVER
A detailed hand-over check list is completed by the Whittley Salesperson and the customer is shown all the key functions of the boat and best practice surrounding the use, storage and towing of the boat.

AFTER SALES & SERVICE
Your relationship with the Whittley Factory continues long after your new boat is delivered, with customer support and service locations throughout Australia.

SPARE PARTS
Whittley has a dedicated spare parts warehouse, which orders and oversees the supply of all spare parts requests by Whittley customers.
